“Is there free food at CityWalk or at all in Orlando?” Many people ask me that question when they travel to Orlando, Florida from out of state or other states. Well, the answer is: absolutely not! No free food is available at CityWalk. Sorry to disappoint you but there is nothing free about this fun (and fast-paced) destination. In fact, admission is generally free but some attractions do charge admission.
One of the attractions that does charge admission is the Myriad Park Landfill. And I don’t just mean that they have a big blue color dump truck to load your trash. That’s just the tip of the iceberg; in addition to the dump truck and the big blue color theme, the Park also has a lot of other activities and attractions. For example, there is the Volcanic Park which is basically a lava tube. Here, kids can tour this scary attraction by themselves at one end while watching a live demonstration how molten lava flows into our world today. This is just one of the many other exciting attractions and activities in the Orlando Citywalk area.
Now let’s talk about some of the dining and shopping options in the CityWalk area. Just off of the restaurant area you’ll find several of the most popular theme parks in the country, namely the Disney-MGM Studios and WDW’s Animal Kingdom. You can get great eats and souvenirs here. Many of these restaurants are located in walking distance of the restaurants that host the popular nighttime entertainment at the parks. So even if you plan on visiting Disney and the other theme parks after eating at the restaurants in CityWalk, you won’t be far from other fun dining locations.
And of course, you can’t visit the city of Orlando without stopping by one of the citywalk orlando restaurants for some burgers, drinks, pizza or even just a snack. But what if you aren’t hungry, or if you want to enjoy your food and stay in a more relaxed mood? Then you may want to check out the plethora of fine dining options right in the downtown area of CityWalk. Among the most popular among these restaurants are the restaurants located at the intersections ofnea shopping centers and along the riverwalk.
So now you know a little bit about what CityWalk has to offer and why it is a great way to see downtown Orlando and the theme parks. What’s your family like? Are you a big eater or do you prefer to go out to dinner occasionally? If you prefer to grab a bite to eat with your family each night, then the restaurants located along the riverwalk and near the shopping centers are the perfect places for you. You can easily spend an entire day enjoying the attractions while making friends with the whole family.
So what are you waiting for? Check out the citywalk orlando restaurants listed above. Be sure to schedule some time to eat in and take in all the beautiful sights that Orlando has to offer. You won’t regret it.
